Big Al's Diner at 800 West Pecan Street, Pflugerville, Texas.

My wife, my son, and myself stopped in for dinner tonight, and are sooo disappointed and hurt.

We kind of got a lot of stares when we walked in, but didn’t think much of it, and were sat at table number six. And we waited, and waited, and waited, and waited.

In walks a table of 4 young men. Sat, provided menus, drink orders obtained, and provided.
In walks a table of four, and the same ensues... while we wait.

Finally a different server literally threw some menus in on our table and walked off, this was about 12 mins in to waiting. Someone else finally came to the table and asked to take our order. I asked if we could start with beverages, since we had then been there for 15 minutes and that was the first words someone had spoken to us. We order a sweet tea and a water. She walks away, and then comes back and starts cleaning tables and doing stuff, but without bring our beverages. Here we are 20 minutes in and maybe six words, and still nothing so we decided to leave.

My wife went to the counter to ask for who was in charge. The lady was more worried about what was going on around her and her phone then actually listening or caring, and her only response was she is 15.

So I went back in (I was putting my son in the car), and asked if she was who my wife spoke to she said yes. I asked her who the owner was, she said she was. I said really, your restaurant is run like this with the owner here, I’ll post a comment online. She said what is the problem, I said we were sitting there for 15 min - interrupted, I know this she told me. I said would you like to hear the issue or talk over me?! I said two other - interrupted, I know. I said okay, so you clearly don’t care how patrons are treated here.

As I am walking out, she says, gays these days. Like really. Clearly you are a hate filled, judgmental establishment that hates gays. Got it. I will NEVER step foot in there again. I will never recommend it to anyone. I hear in the news stories like this and blatant hatred, but I’ve never experienced in real life. I. Can’t. Even.
